Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how the Home Automation application (“the app”), operated by Sander Ronde, handles information when you use this private deployment at automation.sanderron.de.

Scope

The app is a personal, self-hosted home automation server. It is not a commercial product and is not offered to the general public. Access is restricted to authorized users.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, the following data may be stored on the server:

• Account credentials and session data for authentication
• Device states, automation rules, and configuration you set up
• Activity and system logs for troubleshooting
• Voice assistant call history and transcripts, if the voice module is enabled

Google services

The app may request access to Google APIs on your behalf, including:

• Google Calendar (read-only) — to display upcoming events on the kiosk or dashboard
• Google Drive (drive.file scope) — to store encrypted backups created by the app in a dedicated folder

Google user data obtained through these APIs is used only to provide the requested features. It is stored on this server (for example, cached calendar events or backup files in your Drive) and is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.

You can revoke the app’s access at any time via your Google Account permissions page.

Use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data storage and security

Data is stored on the operator’s private server infrastructure. Reasonable measures are taken to protect access (authentication, HTTPS in production), but no system is perfectly secure.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as needed to operate integrated services you explicitly connect (such as Google APIs, smart home devices, or messaging platforms you configure).

Your rights

If you have an account on this deployment, you may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting the operator.
